DewertOkin is donating 1,600 respiratory masks to clinics, medical practices and care facilities.

  • Donation in support of the regional health system
  • The masks go to Osnabrück, Lippe, Bad Iburg and others
  • Acting in solidarity with healthcare workers

Kirchlengern, 24. March 2020 – DewertOkin GmbH is donating a total of 1,600 FFP2 respiratory masks to support public health care facilities in the region. Recipients of the important masks, which are currently difficult to obtain, include nursing homes, nursing services, medical practices and clinics. The manufacturer of drive and system technology for the medical sector and other industries – based in East-Westphalia Germany – is donating its entire remaining stock of respiratory masks. With this donation, the company wishes to help protect workers and patients.

"Public health workers are currently on the front line in the fight against the coronavirus and its further spread. Day after day, they are doing outstanding work for patients and our society. With our donation, we would like to support them in their work and express our gratitude for their tireless commitment", explains Markus Kersting, managing director of DewertOkin GmbH.

In the current health crisis, respiratory masks are in short supply; many health care facilities are complaining about delivery problems. Therefore, DewertOkin quickly offered this unbureaucratic support for several institutions in the region. The recipients include the Klinikum Lippe hospital, which specializes in coronavirus cases, and the family practice of Doctors Kochsiek & Übelacker in Oerlinghausen, which serves as the first point of contact for coronavirus patients in the region. Several DewertOkin employees delivered the respiratory masks directly to the recipients, distanced from each other and in compliance with the current hygiene regulations.

The following facilities are receiving the respiratory masks:

  • the Franciscan Hospital in Osnabrück
  • the Klinikum Lippe Hospital
  • the St. Francis House nursing home in Bad Iburg
  • the Caritas-St. Antonius Pflege GmbH Home Care Service in Bad Laer
  • the joint family practice of Doctors Kochsiek & Übelacker in Oerlinghausen
  • the Dissen Senior Citizens' Centre in the Teutoburg Forest

"Social solidarity is very important in these difficult times. That is why we are now appealing to all people to demonstrate strong solidarity and to help each other – so that we can emerge from this crisis stronger than ever," emphasizes Kersting.
